Mumbai will be hosting the 4th edition of Uniform Garment and Fabric Manufacturers Fair from 17 to 19 December 2019.
This was announced by Solapur Garment Manufacturers Association (SGMA).
Following the success of previous editions at Solapur (twice) and Bengaluru, 2019 will see the event at Goregaon Exhibition Centre. The objective will be to promote Maharashtra as a global sourcing hub for uniforms.
Plans are indeed big for Maharashtra! The goal is to generate 2,500 units in the state by 2024 in addition to having an apparel park.
More on this, Nilesh Shah, VP, SGMA, said “Maharashtra will soon be seeing a big garment park supported by state textile ministry. For the 2019 Fair, our objective is to ensure visits of over 10,000 retailers and dealers from across the country and see for themselves the progress made by the textile industry.”
Biggest of the brands and corporate houses will be there! Raymond’s, S. Kumars, Siyaram, Sangam, Reliance and many more will be a part of the show.
The event will see participation from several countries including Dubai, Kenya, Vietnam, Oman, Mauritius, Bahrain and others.
There will be around 200 stalls showcasing the latest trends and designs in different types of uniforms. Besides, there will be good display of uniform-related accessories and uniform fabrics.
The three-day event is jointly organised by Maharashtra Government and SGMA.
It is worth noting that Indian uniform industry is worth Rs. 18,000 crore of which Rs. 1,100 crore is from Solapur alone.
